Chronic Venous Disease (CVD) is common condition, left untreated, it can manifest in its more severe form chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), with complications such as varicose veins, chronic oedema, skin changes and damage up to venous leg ulcers. If following symptoms exist, one needs to be seen by a specialist:
  • Aching, tired and heavy legs
  • Spider veins
  • Minor or even major swelling of the lower extremities, especially after long periods of sitting or standing
  • Visible and/or painful varicose veins
  • Oedema or skin changes
  • Venous leg ulcer
